A girl asked a guy if he thought she was pretty, He said...no.
She asked him if he would want to be with her forever... and he said no.
She then asked him if she were to leave would he cry, and once again he
replied with a no.
She had heard enough. As she walked away, tears streaming down her face the
boy grabbed her arm and said....
You're not pretty you're beautiful. I don't want to be with you forever. I
NEED to be with you forever. And I wouldn't cry if you walked away...I'd
die...
A good friend will come bail you out of jail....
But a true friend will be sitting next to you saying .. WE screwed up!

From the back of the congregation, a woman's voice rang out,

A rich man went to his vicar and said, "I want you and your wife to take a three-month trip to the Holy Land at my expense. When you come back, I'll have a surprise for you". The vicar accepted the offer, and he and his wife went off to the Middle East.

Three months later they returned home and were met by the wealthy parishioner, who told them that while they were gone, he had had a new church built. "It's the finest building money can buy, vicar," said the man. "No expense was spared." And he was right. It was a magnificent edifice both outside and in.

But there was one striking difference. There was only one pew, and it was at the very back. "A church with only one pew?" asked the vicar.

"You just wait until Sunday," the rich man said.

When the time came for the Sunday service, the early arrivals entered the church, filed onto the one pew and sat down. When the pew was full, a switch clicked silently, a circuit closed, the gears meshed, a belt moved and, automatically, the rear pew began to move forward. When it reached the front of the church, it came to a stop. At the same time, another empty pew came up from below at the back and more people sat down. And so it continued, pews filling and moving forwards until finally the church was full, from front to back.

"Wonderful!" said the vicar, "Marvelous!"

The service began, and the vicar started to preach his sermon. He launched into his text and, when 12 o'clock came, he was still going strong, with no end in sight. Suddenly a bell rang, and a trap door in the floor behind the pulpit dropped open.

"Wonderful!" said the congregation, "Marvelous!"

Old Man Dean, a miser and womanizer of some renown in the community,
at last suffered a health crisis and was rushed to hospital late one
evening.

He lay unconscious through the night, but rallied at dawn and, by and
by, was well enough to receive visitors.

A local parson, hearing of Dean's misfortune and recalling that at
one time he had been a member of his congregation, determined to make
a call. After brief pleasantries were exchanged, the preacher began
an earnest appeal for the old boy to repent, mend his ways, and
return to the flock.

The minister explained how the patient should be thankful that he was
spared, and after some lengthy pleading for the old man to repent
inquired, "Did all of your sins flash before your eyes during the
incident?"

"Don't be ridiculous," replied the defiant old man, "the attack
lasted only 6 hours!"

A guy had been feeling down for so long that he finally decided to seek the aid of a psychiatrist.

He went there, lay on the couch, spilled his guts then waited for the profound wisdom of the psychiatrist to make him feel better.

The psychiatrist asked me a few questions, took some notes then sat thinking in silence for a few minutes with a puzzled look on his face.

Suddenly, he looked up with an _expression of delight and said, "Well, I think your problem is low self-esteem. It is very common among losers."

This is why we trail so many countries in math and geography. I was
sitting in a cafeteria recently, next to a woman who was engrossed in
her newspaper. One of the headlines blared: "12 Brazilian Soldiers
Killed." She shook her head at the sad news.

Then, turning to me, asked, "How many is a Brazilian?"

Ducking into confession with a turkey in his arms, Brian said, "Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned. I stole this turkey to feed my family. Would you take it and settle my guilt?"

"Certainly not," said the Priest. "As penance, you must return it to the one from whom you stole it."

"I tried," Brian sobbed, "but he refused. Oh, Father, what should I do?"

"If what you say is true, then it is all right for you to keep it for your family."

Thanking the Priest, Brian hurried off.

When confession was over, the Priest returned to his residence. When he walked into the kitchen, he found that someone had stolen his turkey.

Cartt News Section: "VANCOUVER � As Internet-using Canadians spend more and more of their time online, it appears as though radio listenership is suffering the most because of that, according to a recent report from Ipsos Reid.

Internet-using Canadians averaged 12.7 hours per week on the web in 2005 (up 46% from 8.7 hours in 2002). The increase appears to have come at the expense of radio, primarily, as the typical Internet-using adult reports spending 11 hours per week listening to the radio, down from 16 hours per week in 2002, says the survey results.

While weekly Internet usage has surpassed radio listening, television retains the number one position among media sources with Internet-using Canadians averaging 14.3 hours of TV viewing per week. Still, the gap between Internet and TV usage is closing (a difference of 1.6 hours per week compared to 4.5 hours in 2002), with the Internet threatening to overtake television should these trends continue, says the study, called Online News and Information Seeking: What the Future Holds. "

"There's always a risk of something happening, but I'm working on stickhandling with my head up," he said, joking about his concussion history.

"On average, in the past three years, Eric has missed five games a year with concussions," said Carl Lindros. "That's fewer than Peter Forsberg or Jeremy Roenick. The bulk of Eric's concussions came in one year."

A wave of mass hysteria seized thousands of radio listeners between 8:15 and 9:30 o'clock last night when a broadcast of a dramatization of H. G. Wells's fantasy, 'The War of the Worlds,' led thousands to believe that an interplanetary conflict had started with invading Martians spreading wide death and destruction in New Jersey and New York.
The broadcast, which disrupted households, interrupted religious services, created traffic jams and clogged communications systems, was made by Orson Welles, who as the radio character, 'The Shadow,' used to give 'the creeps' to countless child listeners. This time at least a score of adults required medical treatment for shock and hysteria. "

My mother used to ask me what the most important part of the body is.

Through the years I would take a guess at what I thought was the correct answer.

When I was younger, I thought sound was very important to us as humans, so I said, 'My ears,

Mommy.' She said, 'No. Many people are deaf.

But you keep thinking about it and I will ask you again soon.'

Several years passed before she asked me again.

Since making my first attempt, I had contemplated the correct answer.

So this time I told her, 'Mommy, sight is very important to everybody, so it must be our eyes.'

Stumped again, I continued my quest for knowledge and over the years,

Even my father cried. I remember that especially because it was only the second time I saw him cry.

My Mom looked at me when it was our turn to say our final good-bye to my Grandfather.

I was shocked when she asked me this now. I always thought this was a game between her and me.

She saw the confusion on my face and told me,

This question is very important. It shows that you have really lived in our life.

For every body part you gave me in the past, I have told you were wrong and I have given you an example why.

When Gill, the pregnant mother of three children, was that tenth caller, the radio host told her she could pick up her prize the following day at WLTO's studio. She subsequently learned that the contest was a 'joke,' according to her lawsuit, which names the radio station's parent company, Cumulus Media, as a defendant. Gill's lawsuit seeks the $100,000 prize and additional punitive damages. "

Homolka and her ex-husband, Paul Bernardo, kidnapped, tortured, raped and murdered Kristen French and Leslie Mahaffy in the early 1990s.

Homolka co-operated with prosecutors to help them convict Bernardo, who was at first thought to have forced his wife into helping him commit the crimes.

Videotapes that later surfaced in the couple's home in St. Catharines, Ont., showed her to be have been a willing partner, however.
