If the game had to be postponed due to weather, before two full periods has been played,[2] it would have been rescheduled for January 2 at 7:00 p.m.[3] It was the first regular-season outdoor National Hockey League game in the United States.[4] The event, colloquially referred to in Western New York as the Ice Bowl,[5] was officially announced on September 17, 2007 at Ralph Wilson Stadium.[6] The game is being sponsored by Mountain Dew AMP"
