MOMENTUM
Momentum is a program from the Ontario Centre of the National Film Board of Canada. This program provides 100 emerging filmmakers insight into the creative and craft elements of documentary production and provides hands-on experience, NFB expertise and an introduction to a network of contacts that will help new filmmakers pursue their career.
Momentum explores innovative methods of producing quality, low-budget, short documentaries that reflect our mandate and our continuing support of culturally relevant works to mirror Canadian diversity.
Emerging filmmakers are invited to participate in one-week seminars, at no charge. After the seminars, four candidates are selected�based on proposals written in the week after the seminar�to participate in the production phase of the program and are expected to make the commitment of an additional five weeks to complete their short film"
