The Youth ARE program prepares disabled youth for the world of work through employment planning, vocational assessment, employability and remedial vocational life skills and the opportunity to complete an unpaid work experience. We train participants in a variety of work related skills, including:
career interests and planning
goal setting
resume writing
job interview skills
job search techniques
employer expectations
employment resources
disabilities and work
communication skills and assertiveness
team building and conflict management
stress management
decision making and problem solving
motivation

Youth ARE began in 2002 with the expansion of the former YWCA Pre-Vocational Experience program. Youth ARE is funded by Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), a branch of the Ministry of Community, Family and Children�s Services"
