Costume Party

  A couple was invited to a swanky costume Party. She

got a terrible headache and told her husband to go to

the party alone. He being a devoted husband protested,

but she argued and said she was going to take some

aspirin and go to bed, and there was no need of his

good time being spoiled by not going. 

So he took his costume and away he went. The wife,

after sleeping soundly for about an hour, awakened

without pain and, as it was still early, decided to go

the party. 

Since her husband did not know what her costu me was,

she thought she would have some fun by watching her

husband to see how he acted when she was not with him.

She joined the party and soon spotted her husband

cavorting around on the dance floor, dancing with

every nice chick he could, and copping a little feel

here and a little kiss there. His wife sidled up to

him and being a rather seductive babe herself, he left

his    current partner high and dry and devoted his

time to the new babe that had just arrived. She let

him go as far as he wished , naturally, since he was

her husband. 

Finally, he whispered a little proposition in her ear

and she agreed, so off they went to one of the cars

and had a little bang.  Just before unmasking at

midnight, she slipped away, went home, put the costume

away and got into bed, wondering what kind of

explanation he would make for his behavior. 

She was sitting up reading when he came in, and she

asked what kind of a time he had.  He said: '- Oh, the

same old thing. You know I never have a good time when

you're not there.' 

- 'Did you dance much?' 

- 'I'll tell you, I never even danced one dance. When

I got there, I met Pete, Bill Brown and some other

guys, so we went into the den and played poker all

evening. But you're not going to believe what happened

to the guy I loaned my costume to.. .....

Last year I replaced all the windows in my house with those expensive, double-pane energy-efficient kind.

Yesterday, I got a call from the contractor who installed them. He was complaining that the windows had been installed a whole year ago and I had not paid for them yet.

Hellloooo? Now just because I'm blonde doesn't mean that I am automatically stupid. So I told him just exactly what his fast-talking sales guy had told ME last year... namely, that in just ONE YEAR these windows would pay for themselves! Helllooooo'? 'It's been a year !,' I told him.

There was only silence at the other end of the line, so I finally just hung up.... He hasn't called back, probably too embarrassed about forgetting the guarantee they made me.

A store that sells new husbands has just opened in New York City , where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates:

Interested applicants are invited to attend an orientation seminar
at Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen Street West, to obtain more
information about the committee and its function. Seminars will
be held in Committee Room 1 on Wednesday, October 17th, 2007
from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and Committee Room 2 on Friday,

Kenadie News and Updates: "Now I will move on to Kenadie. Now 4� years old... Kenadie is still in daycare for the mornings and an entry Kindergarten program in the afternoons. She is beginning to put more and more words together and is trying to communicate more every day. Just last week we had a Psychological Assessment done for her. This was to help us with her goals for development and education as well as for discipline. Kenadie is a happy and pleasant child, and was assessed at approximately a 2 year level. I will now take this opportunity to address an issue that has been brought to my attention several times. Kenadie is NOT potty trained yet. I realize that she is 4, but she is petrified of the toilet; and now learning where her development is we have been assured by our doctors that pushing potty training is not necessary. It will come in time for her, and in fact she has shown a small bit of interest as her brother is now starting. So, as I have said in the past, we will let Kenadie grow at her own pace."

Event organizers include SB&H, Bloorview Kids Rehab, Anne Johnston Health Station, The Gage Transition to Independent Living and City of Toronto Forestry & Recreation (North District).

The day of June 21 was selected for several reasons. It was Margaret telling Jian “not to mess up… the arts are important!” Unfortunately, the recording was done in stereo and we were using a mono computer program to play back audio material. Playing back a stereo file would require exiting the computer program and loading a stereo version of the program. I asked the studio director if there were any mono files that had to be played after the Atwood clip. He said no. So when the time came I exited the program, loaded the stereo program, and played the Atwood clip. It was about thirty seconds long. During the Atwood clip we learned that through some quirk of fate it would be necessary to play a mono file directly afterward. When the Atwood clip finished, I immediately got out of the stereo program and began loading the mono program. Jian began reading the intro to the stereo clip. Jian finished reading the intro to the mono clip. The mono program loaded at the exact same time, giving me one second to load the mono clip and fire it. Insanity! But it all sounded good on air… I think"
